And then it happened. After repeated bouts of sneezing (even after taking a Claritin-D, the D stands for doesn’t fucking work) I decided there was only one thing left to do in order to stop the madness, vasoconstrict. But Raveen, isn’t Claritin a H1 blocker stopping histamine (a potent vasodilator) from being released ergo leading to vasoconstriction. Yes but after sneezing about umpteenth times (realistically it was like 7X in a row beat that bitches) in the last 20 minutes I was in dire straights.
I knew I needed to go to a cold place (I can’t fit in my freezer I tried) or do the unthinkable; take a cold shower. Since I’m in St. Lucia coldness is about as prevalent as Lindsay Lohan’s sobriety, so cold shower it was. About 5 minutes of shivering later my sneezing subsided and I had treated my first successful patient; myself. Baby steps Raveen, baby steps.
